Northern Stage Presents "Les Liaisons Dangereuses"
A deliciously wicked story of love, based on the scandalous 1782 French
novel, spins a sinister tale of jealousy, seduction and lust. As the
French Revolution approaches, a treacherous man and woman devise a cruel
game of revenge intended to destroy a pious married woman, a virginal
girl and her innocent first love. The award-winning Northern Stage
features top New York actors in an intimate theater with audience on
three sides. Tickets start at $20.This one may be too hot for the kids! Tues.-Sat. at 7:30 (except 1/20 at 7:00), Sundays at 5:00 p.m. 2:00 matinee 1/26.

An Evening of George Gershwin
In this performance lecture, pianist Michael Arnowitt explores the music
and era of American composer George Gershwin and performs An American
in Paris and Rhapsody in Blue, among other compositions. Part of the
First Wednesdays series and the Farmers Night series at the Vermont
State House. A Vermont Humanities Council event. 7:30 PM.

Bow Thayer and the Holy Plow
Acoustic roots rock from songwriter Bow Thayer with Kristina Stykos and
Patrick Ross. Bow Thayer is an accomplished and prolific songwriter who
cultivates influences from the worlds of rock, blues, folk, progressive,
bluegrass and everything and anything in between to produce music that
is heartfelt and original. In addition to his acoustic trio, he fronts
his electric big band, Perfect Trainwreck. 7:30 PM.

Upper Valley Chocolate Festival
This chocolate lovers event consists of local chocolatiers and
chocolate artisans including restaurants, bakeries, patisseries, and
catering companies. Vendors will vie for a Peoples Choice Award for the
Best Chocolate Dessert in the Upper Valley-2011, offer samples to
festival guests, and sell their products.
Tickets for the event are $10, which entitle you to one sample of each of the entries for the event. 10 AM- 3PM.

Green Mountain Club's Annual Snowshoe Festival
Enjoy an invigorating day of free snowshoe rentals, guided tours to
local peaks and trails, kids' activities, educational workshops, nature
walks, and hot chocolate. All this is followed by a winter party with
live music food, and raffle prizes. The Green Mountain Club was founded
in 1910 and works to protect and maintain the State's end-to-end hiking
trail. Activities from 8:30am to 3pm, and party from 3 to 5pm.
